The Fondation provides youths in the care of the DYP with support that is complementary to the government support by mobilizing people and quickly responding to specific, personalized needs. A scholarship, food aid, support in the transition to adulthood, music lessons or tutoring: these are just some of the initiatives we are able to carry out thanks to your donations.

You can refer to the section of the website explaining the Fondation’s six programs to learn more about our work with young people and families in the care of the DYP. To learn more about the impact of your donations, click here.

The Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ is firmly rooted in Montreal, but its impact extends beyond the city through invaluable collaboration with regional players. Working together for the wellbeing of youths in the care of the DYP allows our actions to go even further. Since 2022, the Fondation has been supporting projects for youths in care transitioning to adulthood in several regions of Quebec, as well as encouraging youths to stay in school since 2025–2026.

You can click here to learn more about the projects that were supported as part of the Fondation’s national rollout.

The Fondation supports young people aged 0 to 25 who are or were subject to the Youth Protection Act. Any request for assistance for a youth in care must be submitted by a youth worker associated with the case. If you have any further questions, please contact the team in charge of programs at the Fondation by emailing programmes@fjdpj.ca.
