The first Soirée des Grands benefit event was a smashing success!
The Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ is very pleased the first edition of its Soirée des Grands benefit event was a smashing success. A net amount of $808,000 was raised, making this new signature evening one of the top philanthropic events in Quebec.

The Soirée des Grands, presented by CDPQ and Metro Supply Chain, was held on June 8 at Windsor Station. The evening was deftly emceed by Anaïs Favron and Nancy Audet, the Fondation’s spokesperson and proud supporter respectively, where some 600 guests from the business world, politics, media and youth protection joined together to remind youths in the care of the DYP that they were not alone. Several former youths under the care of the DYP gave moving testimonials at the event and reminded everyone of the importance of taking action.
Proceeds from the evening’s events will be used to provide assistance to youths in the care of the DYP in Montreal and other regions in Quebec, through the Fondation’s six programs and various organizations it supports across the province that provide support to youths in the care of the DYP and to youths making the transition to adulthood.
As more children and teens end up in the care of the DYP every year, seeing such strong engagement for these youths is reassuring! The commitment made by hundreds of donors and companies that took part in the Soirée des Grands pushes us to go the extra mile for these youths every day.
See you next year for another lively edition of the Soirée des Grands benefit event!
