Goods and services donations

Donating goods to youths in the care of the DYP can have a significant impact—it not only provides them with essential material resources, but also a feeling of support and hope, and thus help them overcome the challenges they face and to imagine a brighter future.

Criteria for accepting donated goods

All acts of generosity are appreciated, but there are some criteria for accepting donated goods to ensure the donor’s thoughtful donation meets the needs of the youths and the organization is capable of handling the donation.

Should your goods not meet the criteria below, we encourage you to donate them to other organizations, such as Renaissance or the Society of Saint-Vincent de Paul. Thank you very much for your generosity!

  • Condition of the goods: Only new items are accepted. If you are donating furniture, exceptionally, we can accept used items that are clean, functional and in very good condition. This would guarantee that the items would fully meet the needs of the youth receiving them.
  • Suitability: Before accepting any donation, the form will be evaluated to ensure that the goods being donated are suitable and actually meet the needs of the youths and in line with the Fondation’s mission and programs. You will receive a response from our team within three business days.
  • Delivery: As the Fondation’s resources are limited, we expect donors to deliver the items to the Fondation’s location or, in the case of furniture, to our warehouse.
  • Documentation: It is crucial to provide the Fondation with the purchase invoice for the good(s) so that we can issue you a tax receipt.
