We’re firmly committed to providing essential support to youths in the care of the DYP who are on their journey to independence, by collaborating with regional players working in the field all over Quebec. Year after year, thanks to the support of our generous donors, we’re in a position to support promising initiatives that have a lasting impact on the daily life and future of youths in the care of the DYP.

The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a critical point that brings many challenges. This situation is all the more true for youths in the care of the DYP who often don’t have enough of a social safety net to take on this new stage of life. To bolster this support, the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ is proud to announce $575,000 in financial assistance to 17 initiatives spearheaded by different organizations and foundations across Quebec.
These projects are part of the Fondation’s “Transitioning Towards an Autonomous Life” program to support youths aged 16 to 25, who are or were under the care of the youth protection system. These 17 projects provide support in several aspects of young people’s lives: develop their independent living, help them transition from school to work, encourage them to stay in school, provide psychosocial support and develop their skills.
