My parents worked in the field. I grew up around people closely involved with youths in the care of the DYP. Contributing to society and defending youth is an intrinsic part of who I am.

Having been actively involved with the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ for more than 10 years, Dominique Dupuis has now succeeded Yvon Roy as president of the Board. An appointment for continuity, collaboration and growth.
Natural affinity to help children in youth protection services
The Fondation is delighted that Dominique Dupuis, an ambitious, caring woman with a strong team spirit, has taken on the mantle to carry out its mission. This new role for the tax lawyer and partner at KPMG is a natural extension of her journey. The new president has been able to relate to the cause of young people in youth protection since at a very young age.
Dominique Dupuis finds her balance by being actively involved with the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ. “If it had not been possible to combine work and volunteering, I don’t think I could have gotten to where I am today, feeling as fulfilled as I do. From the outset, my then big bosses at KPMG supported my commitment to the Fondation and even became key partners for the cause.”
From the Emerging Leaders Committee to the presidency
When she sought out a seat on the Fondation’s Board in 2013, the young lawyer’s primary goal was to raise awareness about the cause of youths in care among the younger generation. As soon as she arrived, she took on a key leadership role by implementing initiatives to encourage younger people to get involved with the Fondation. Eden Night, an event for people aged 25 to 40, was born, followed by the creation of the Emerging Leaders Committee, which creates engagement around initiatives developed by and for young professionals who wish to contribute to the well-being of youths in the care of the DYP.
Over the years, the tax lawyer’s place in the organization gained more prominence. She became chair of the Allocations Committee, then vice president of the Board in 2020. This key role places her at the centre of the Fondation’s growth and allows her to develop a good relationship with Fabienne Audette, Chief Executive Officer of the Fondation. When Yvon Roy announced that he was stepping down as president in 2024, the experience, drive and expertise of his vice president made her a natural successor.
I had the opportunity to work alongside Dominique since coming to the Fondation in 2020, and I am extremely confident in her taking the reins as Board president. I believe her positive leadership, her in-depth knowledge of the organization and her energy will help raise community engagement for the cause of youths in care and take the Fondation even further. We can expect a lot of great things!

A collaborative and inclusive leadership
Like the outgoing president, Dominique Dupuis intends to take on her new role with kindness, respect and openness. As she looks forward to expanding the Foundation’s growing influence in various regions of Quebec, the new president intends to make every effort to ensure that her impact on youths in care in Montreal, where she is based, continues to grow.
I want to keep working as a team and reach out to organizations that are stakeholders in the community so that we can always collaborate on actions. By banding together, we can make a larger impact and support even more youths in need.
For the new Board president, the Fondation not only helps young people develop the confidence and courage they need to believe in a better future, but also has potential as a driver of change, by leveraging its expertise, influence and position.
Ultimately, my greatest dream would be for all young people to have a meaningful adult in their lives. To thrive and become a caring adult, you need to receive love. That’s what has always pushed me to invest in these youths. We have the power to save lives and every child is worth it.
The outgoing president is always there for youths in care
The Fondation would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Yvon Roy for his years of dedication as president of the Board. It is pleased to be able to count on him as a director and co-chair of the Philanthropic Development Committee.
The Fondation also announces the appointment of Jasmin Savard as vice president of the Board, who will be supporting Dominique Dupuis in her duties.
