July 8 was a day of great celebration as DYP workers in charge of the Fondation’s postsecondary student support program joined our team at the ITHQ to mark the graduation of 41 youths. The graduates received financial assistance throughout their academic journey and some will continue to receive financial assistance under the program.
Whether they graduated from high school, CEGEP, vocational school or university, the youths saw their hard work and determination rewarded and celebrated. The event held special significance for them because the DYP workers who had monitored their progress and encouraged them every step of the way were in attendance to share the big moment.
This year, 110 youths received financial aid under the Fondation’s postsecondary student support program. The Fondation is always there for youth in the care of the DYP, helping to pay for tuition fees and IT equipment or providing rent and food assistance, making sure the youths have everything they need to succeed.
I would like to extend sincere congratulations on behalf of the thousands of donors who give to the Fondation and believe in you. Those thousands of Quebecers—who don’t know you personally and whom you don’t know either—stood by your side throughout your academic journey. Today, you are defying the statistics and reminding everyone that we have every reason to believe in your talent, your resilience, and your ability to accomplish great things!
Congratulations to this year’s young graduates!
You are truly inspiring!
Thank you as well to Annie Thériault, who took wonderful photographs of the graduates and captured the joy of the moment forever.
