The Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ is pleased to announce the appointment of Dominic Savaria, who has accepted the role of Coordinator, Initiatives and Programs. This is a new position, created to support the Fondation as it expands its activities and enhances its outreach programs. Dominic’s tasks will include coordinating logistics for initiatives led by the Programs, Impact and Community Relations team and building relationships with our partners, contributors and donors of goods and services.
We are excited to welcome Dominic to the Fondation. His experience working with non-profits, combined with his desire to champion a cause that brings hope for the community, makes him a great addition to our team and the perfect fit for our mission.
Prior to joining the Fondation, Dominic dedicated many years to social and environmental non-profits like Youth Fusion and Nature-Action Québec, and later had the chance to delve into project management and develop partnerships within the Montreal community ecosystem. He also learned how to become an effective team player and acquired extensive expertise in social innovation, being primarily involved with organizations and projects that are deeply rooted in the community.
His creativity, his ability to respond to the needs of the community, and his openness to change make him an important link between the Fondation and the organizations that share our values and collaborate with us on various projects.
Young people are our future, and we must unlock their potential to build a more just, inclusive, and caring world. Some children and teenagers are less fortunate than others, but they all deserve to get the support they need to shine and be the best they can be. That’s why I’ve joined the Fondation and that’s what I want to help achieve.
